Metrax Primedic HeartSave M250 Lithium Metal battery UN3090 95394 15VDC 7.2Ah
This is the battery specifically designed for the Metrax Primedic M250 AED, model number 95394. With core parameters of 15VDC/7.2Ah, it boasts a very large capacity, suitable for long-term emergency backup and instantaneous high-power defibrillation in medical scenarios. This is a disposable battery with Li-MnO₂ cells. It requires no daily charging or maintenance and can stably standby in the M250 AED for 5 years in its unopened state, supporting monthly automatic self-checks during this period, perfectly matching the AED's "year-round backup, emergency activation" characteristics.
Core Application Scenarios
1. Public Places: Scenarios requiring long-term AED standby, such as shopping malls, schools, stadiums, and subway stations; 5-year standby life reduces maintenance frequency.
2. Medical Scenarios: Ambulances, primary healthcare facilities, and community health service centers; handling pre-hospital emergency care and outpatient cardiac arrest cases.
3. Special Scenarios: Outdoor work sites in high-altitude and cold regions (such as oil fields and mining areas); wide temperature range ensures the equipment is always available.

Q1: After inserting the electrode pads during emergency treatment, the AED displays "Battery Error" and fails to discharge for defibrillation. What could be causing this?
A1: This could be due to a faulty or loose battery clip or oxidation of the battery terminals. Check if the clip is securely fastened and reinstall it. If the clip is broken, contact a technician for replacement; alternatively, wipe the oxidized terminals with a dry cotton cloth and reinstall.
Q2: Question: An AED has been in long-term use at a local health center (unused for 1 year). Monthly self-tests are normal, but white powder (not an oxide layer) appears at the battery terminals. What could be the cause?
A2: This may be due to excessive humidity inside the battery compartment, causing lithium salt deposits to form at the battery terminals. Over time, this can lead to poor contact. Clean the white powder thoroughly, then place a packet of medical-grade desiccant inside the battery compartment. During monthly self-tests, check for recurrence and clean the desiccant if necessary.
Q3: The battery is unopened but stored for more than one month past its expiration date. It appears normal. Can it be used temporarily?
A3: After a lithium metal battery expires, the internal electrolyte slowly decomposes. While the voltage may appear normal, the instantaneous discharge capacity will decrease by 30%-50%, failing to guarantee adequate defibrillation energy. Continued use is not recommended; the battery should be replaced immediately.
