Product Overview
ABB TU831V1 is a standard I/O module Terminal Unit specially designed for the S800 I/O series of ABB AC 800M control systems. This base adopts screw-type terminal blocks for installing compatible S800 analog or digital I/O modules (such as AI810, AO810, DI810, DO810, etc.), providing safe and reliable on-site signal access and electrical connection.

Compatible module types: Supports all series of S800 standard width (45mm) I/O modules (such as AI810, AO810, DI810, DO810, etc.)
Wiring method: Screw-type terminal (Phoenix Contact type), supporting 0.2-2.5mm ² wires
Number of channels: Up to 16 on-site wiring channels are supported (depending on the I/O module inserted).
Integrated shielding connection: Built-in metal shielding clamp, facilitating single-point grounding of the cable shielding layer and enhancing anti-interference capability
DIN rail mounting: Compliant with EN 60715 standard, directly clamped onto the TS-35 rail
Module lock design: Ensure that I/O modules are firmly inserted to prevent loosening
Identification area: A label slot is reserved at the top for easy marking of the channel's purpose

Process control station: Serves as the wiring interface for field sensors (PT100, 4-20mA transmitter) and actuators (control valve, solenoid valve)
Remote I/O Station (RI/O) : Deployed in the BC810/BC810K remote station to achieve distributed signal acquisition and output
Control cabinet integration: Provide standardized and maintainable I/O wiring solutions in MCC or PLC control cabinets
Renovation project: Replace the old terminal blocks to enhance system reliability and maintenance efficiency
Installation and Usage instructions
Mechanical installation: Insert the TU831V1 into the standard 35mm DIN rail and ensure it is locked in place.
Wiring steps
Remove about 8mm of the cable insulation layer.
Insert the wire into the corresponding terminal hole;
Tighten the screw with a screwdriver (recommended torque: 0.5 N·m);
Press the cable shielding layer into the top shielding clamp and fix it.
Module installation: Insert the S800 I/O module (such as AI810) vertically into the base of the TU831V1. When you hear a "click", it indicates that the connection is complete.
Maintenance advantages: I/O modules can be hot-swapped and replaced (system support required), without the need for rewiring, significantly reducing downtime.
