Product Overview

The ABB AX18-30-01-80 is a high-performance modular AC contactor in the ABB AX series, designed for small and medium-sized automation systems. This product is specially designed for frequently started and stopped three-phase motors and similar loads. It ensures high reliability while taking into account compact size and low power consumption features, and is widely used in industrial control cabinets, building equipment and energy infrastructure.

This model is equipped with 3 sets of main contacts and 1 normally open (NO) auxiliary contact. The rated working current is 18 amperes (AC-3 category, under 400V conditions), and the control coil voltage is 24V DC (DC 24V). It is very suitable for direct integration with PLC, microcontroller or low-voltage DC control system.

Typical application scenarios

AX18-30-01-80 is widely used to drive small motors with a power not exceeding 7.5kW (400V three-phase), and is commonly found in fans, water pumps, compressors, conveyor belts and packaging machinery. Its built-in normally open auxiliary contacts can be used to feed back the operating status of the contactor to the PLC or HMI, achieving remote monitoring, interlock protection or fault diagnosis.

Due to the adoption of DC 24V control coils, this model is particularly suitable for modern automation systems - it can be directly driven by the output of PLC transistors, eliminating the need for intermediate relays, simplifying wiring and enhancing response speed.
