Product Overview
The ABB DO810 is an 8-channel relay output module in the AC 800M distributed control system. It adopts an independent electromagnetic relay design, with each channel featuring fully electrically isolated normally open (NO) contacts, allowing for direct switching of AC or DC loads. It includes motor contactor coils, solenoid valves, alarm devices, small heaters, indicator lights, etc.
With its non-polarity, wide voltage compatibility, strong surge resistance and physical contact isolation, the DO810 is widely used in power, water treatment, HVAC, mechanical manufacturing and old factory renovation projects. It is particularly suitable for driving equipment of different voltage levels or replacing traditional hardwired relays.

Installation and Usage instructions
Hardware installation
Insert the DO810 into the S800 I/O electronic rack (such as TB840A);
Connect to the CI854A or CI801 communication module via the ModuleBus cable;
Connect an external load power supply (AC or DC) to each channel or channel group separately;
One end of the load is connected to the external power supply, and the other end is connected to the relay contact, forming a complete circuit.
Software configuration
Create a DO810 device instance in Control Builder M;
Name each channel (such as "Alarm_Horn_CMD");
Configurable output safety status (disconnected/held in case of fault);
Download the configuration to the AC 800M controller.
Debugging and verification
The green LED on the front panel indicates that the module is operating normally.
A slight "click" sound can be heard when the relay operates (a normal phenomenon).
The test load response can be forced to output ON/OFF through Control Builder M.
