1.Overview of the ATS22D47Q Schneider Electric
The ATS22D47Q is a compact soft starter from Schneider Electric's Altistart 22 series, with a rated operating voltage of 230–440 V and a rated current of 47 A. It is designed for three-phase asynchronous motors up to 22 kW (400 V). It integrates soft starting, soft stopping, motor thermal protection, and line protection, making it suitable for applications such as pumps, fans, compressors, and conveyors that require smooth starting and stopping while minimizing mechanical and electrical shock.
Smooth Starting and Stopping: Torque-controlled starting limits the starting current to within 3.5 times the rated current, reducing impact on the power grid and drive system. It supports both freewheel stop and ramp stop modes to meet the shutdown requirements of various equipment.
Integrated Bypass: After starting, the built-in bypass contactor automatically activates. This reduces the soft starter's energy consumption and heat generation, improving system efficiency while saving external installation space and costs.
Comprehensive Protection: Thermal memory protection effectively prevents motor overheating due to frequent starts. It also features phase loss protection to ensure equipment and personnel safety.
Flexible Control and Communication: Three programmable logic inputs and two relay outputs facilitate remote control and status feedback. An integrated RS485 interface and support for Modbus communication protocols enable easy integration into existing automation systems, facilitating monitoring and parameter configuration.
