As part of ABB’s industry-leading Industrial IT and System 800xA architecture, this module enables seamless integration of the AC 800M controller into PROFIBUS DP networks, allowing real-time data exchange with remote I/O stations, drives, HMIs, and intelligent field devices from multiple vendors.
Engineered for reliability in demanding process and factory automation environments, the CI854BK01 supports PROFIBUS DP Master or Slave operation (configurable via software), operates at speeds up to 12 Mbps, and features robust electrical isolation, LED status indicators, and hot-swap capability (in supported chassis). It connects directly to the AC 800M backplane and requires no external power supply, simplifying panel design and reducing wiring complexity.
