The ZEV series electromagnetic contactor from Moeller (now part of Eaton Electrical) is a robust, compact, and highly reliable switching device designed for controlling three-phase AC motors and other inductive or resistive loads in industrial and commercial applications. Originally developed by Moeller, a pioneer in electrical automation, the ZEV series continues under Eaton’s global portfolio with unchanged performance and compatibility. These contactors are built to meet international standards including IEC/EN 60947-4-1, ensuring safe and efficient motor switching under AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor) duty and AC-1 (resistive load) conditions.
With a wide range of current ratings—from 9 A up to 65 A—and support for multiple coil voltages (24 V DC to 230 V AC), the ZEV series offers flexibility for global applications. Its snap-on mounting on 35 mm DIN rail, low heat dissipation, and compatibility with auxiliary contact blocks, surge suppressors, and mechanical interlocks make it ideal for modular panel design.
