The SEW BG1.5 8253846 is an "energy gatekeeper" about half the size of a palm. It reliably rectifies 100–500 V AC power into 240 V DC. Its continuous output of 1.5 A allows the SEW brake to release in milliseconds and lock securely in the event of a power outage, eliminating the need for inertia to stop the motor. Half-wave rectification and an integrated varistor suppress power spikes and reduce power consumption. Its -25°C to +70°C wide operating temperature range ensures rock-solid stability in cold storage, ports, and textile workshops.

Half-wave rectification: Converts single-phase AC into pulsating DC, providing reliable excitation power for the brake coil.
Quick brake release: Instantaneous demagnetization occurs by disconnecting the AC side, with a brake release time of less than 40 ms, meeting high-frequency start-stop conditions.
Integrated varistor: Suppresses coil turn-off overvoltage, preventing contact erosion and extending brake life.
Universally compatible: Directly compatible with SEW BMG05, BMG1, and BMG2 brakes, requiring no additional adjustments.
