Product Overview
The Emerson 475 Field Communicator (Rosemount 475 Handheld Communicator) is an intrinsically safe handheld communicator designed for field technicians, enabling rapid configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance of HART, WirelessHART, and FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices. This model has been discontinued. Its official replacement is the AMS Trex Device Communicator, but existing units installed worldwide remain under warranty and technical support.

Universal compatibility: Supports all manufacturers' registered HART (5/6/7) and FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices.
Full-color graphical interface: 3.5-inch 1/4 VGA transflective touchscreen, sunlight-readable. It works with ValveLink™ Mobile for advanced diagnostics such as valve signature and step response.
Long-life lithium-ion battery: Rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides 20 hours of continuous use, 40 hours of typical operating conditions, and 80 hours of standby time.
Field Hardening: Passes a 1-meter drop test into concrete, IP51 protection rating (front), operating temperature range -10°C to +50°C.
Online Upgrade: The Easy Upgrade Utility supports downloading the latest DD file via the internet, allowing system upgrades without returning to the factory.
