Each channel accepts dry-contact or solid-state signals across an 18 V to 30 V range, delivering deterministic on/off status updates with <5 ms filter time for critical interlocking, motor feedback, and emergency-shutdown applications.
Designed for hot-swap installation in any Series C I/O rack, the module draws its 5 V logic supply directly from the redundant backplane—no external power wiring required—and provides 1500 V isolation between field and system circuitry to eliminate ground-loop noise. On-board LED indicators give instant per-channel status, while automatic electronic keying prevents incorrect module insertion. The compact, conformal-coated board operates from 0 °C to +60 °C and withstands 5 g vibration, making it ideal for refineries, chemical plants, offshore platforms, and power-generation facilities.
Front-access spring-cage terminals accept 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm² conductors for fast, vibration-proof field wiring, and optional cable shields can be landed at the integral ground bar to ensure EMC compliance. The MC-PDIY22 is fully compatible with Honeywell’s Universal I/O (UIO) architecture, allowing future reconfiguration without hardware changes, and supports redundant I/O configurations for maximum process availability.
