Product Description:

EPS-D0 is an efficient and secure DC brushed permanent magnetic motor controller used for Electric Power Steering (EPS) scenarios. EPS-D0 serves as a steering system controller, interpreting steering commands input from external sources and feedback from wheel positions and then drives the steering motor to move the steering wheel to the desired position.
EPS-D0 is compatible with the corresponding communication protocol of the DALA AC traction motor controller. During starting stage, it needs to do a handshake with the traction controller to enable necessary functions. It can also operate independently to perform the steering function.

  1. Both absolute and relative position control modes are available.
  2. PWM technology improves the efficiency.
  3. The closed-loop motor control algorithm provides reliable and precise position control.

Safety & Reliability

  1. Dual steering command inputs for redundancy check is supported.
  2. Fault output can be used to shut down the main contractor.
  3. Steered wheel position (angle) output can be used to limit the traction motor speed.
  4. Periodic Self-Tests for: Flash, EEPROM parameters, Motor Open sensor +V power supply.
  5. Software and hardware watchdog.

  1. External LED status lights provide quick fault diagnosis.
  2. Integrated hour meter function.
  3. DALA DS13 handheld programmer and DS14 PC-based programmer offer easy programming and robust system diagnostics and monitoring capabilities.

Robust Reliability

  1. Electronics sealed up to IP65 standard.
  2. Standard Molex Connector.
  3. Reverse polarity protection on battery connections and inputs protected against shorts.
  4. Intelligent thermal cutback and over voltage/under voltage
  5. The steering command input supports dual-channel complementary analog sensors.
  6. The steering angle feedback input supports two types of sensors: quadrature encoders and analog sensors.
  7. Configurable homing modes.
