The IC693CHS391 is a modular CPU baseplate from GE Fanuc's Series 90-30, designed to provide flexible and manageable PLC system configuration. This baseplate supports modular CPUs, I/O modules, and Power Supply modules in an organized layout.

10 Total Slots: 1 CPU slot (Slot 1) for CPU modules or special option modules like the FIP Bus Remote I/O Scanner, plus 9 I/O slots (Slots 2-10) for I/O or option modules
Power Supply Slot: Installed in the left-most position (not included in slot count)
Expansion Port: 25-pin female connector on the right side for connecting expansion or remote baseplates
Modular Design: Easy CPU and module replacement or upgrade for enhanced functionality
Node Address: Defaults to 0, adjustable via programming software
Expansion Support: Supports up to 4 or 7 expansion baseplates depending on CPU configuration

Only one modular CPU baseplate is allowed per system. Any additional baseplates must be expansion or remote I/O types.
Power supply installs in the left-most slot, leaving all numbered slots available for CPU or I/O modules.
CPU always occupies Slot 1, while Slots 2+ are reserved for I/O/option modules.
Expansion or remote baseplates connect on the right-hand expansion port, supporting multiple CPUs depending on configuration.
Module Installation Guidelines
Power Supply Module: Must be installed in the left-most slot (not numbered). This slot is uniquely sized and type-specific, exclusively supporting Power Supply modules.
CPU Module / Special Option Module: Must be installed in Slot 1 (labeled CPU/1). This specially sized slot supports CPU modules or special option modules such as the FIP Remote I/O Scanner (IC693BEM330).
I/O and Option Modules: Slots 2 and above are uniquely sized and type-specific, designed exclusively for I/O or Option modules.
Expansion & Remote Baseplates: A 25-pin D-type female expansion connector at the right end allows connection to Expansion or Remote baseplates.
Modular CPU Features: CPU modules are replaceable or upgradeable for additional functionality. Only one CPU baseplate is permitted per system, with additional baseplates requiring Expansion or Remote types. By default, modular CPU baseplates are assigned Rack Number 0.
