Product Overview
The 4-Channel Relay Module is a full-height module providing four independent relay outputs. Multiple 4-Channel Relay Modules can be installed in any slot to the right of the Transient Data Interface Module.
Each relay output can be independently programmed to implement voting logic tailored to your application. Every relay on the module features Alarm Drive Logic, which can be programmed using AND/OR logic.
Alarm Drive Logic Capabilities
The Alarm Drive Logic can incorporate alarming inputs (Alert and Danger statuses), Not-OK conditions, individual PPLs from any monitor channel, and combinations of monitor channels in the rack.
Programming the Alarm Drive Logic is flexible and can be configured to meet your specific application needs using Bently Nevada™ 3500 Rack Configuration Software.

How many actual outputs do I get per card?
You get four. And they are totally independent. You can wire up four different annunciators or trip circuits to a single module.
Where exactly does this card go in the rack?
Anywhere to the right of the TDI (Transient Data Interface). It's a full-height module, so just pick an empty slot downstream of the interface and slide it in.
If Relay 1 trips, does it mess with Relay 2?
No. They are independent. You can program Relay 1 to trip on a vibration alert and Relay 2 to trip only on a temperature danger. They don't have to follow the same rules.
Can I set up complex "AND/OR" logic?
Absolutely. That's the whole point. You can set it up so it only trips if, say, Channel A is in Danger AND Channel B is in Alert. You build the logic to fit your safety protocols.
What actually pulls the trigger?
Almost anything you want. You can tie the relay to Alerts (Pre-alarms), Dangers (Trip levels), Not-OK statuses (if a probe dies), or individual PPLs.
Do I need to be a coder to program it?
Nah. You just use the standard Bently Nevada 3500 Rack Configuration Software. It's mostly checking boxes and selecting logic gates (AND/OR) from the menu.
Can I put more than one of these in a single rack?
Yes. If you need more than 4 relays, just slot in another 3500/32M module next to it. You can stack them as long as you have empty slots.
Can it handle "Voting" logic?
Yup. If you need a "2-out-of-3" voting setup (where two sensors must agree before shutting down the machine), this module is built to handle that exact scenario.
