The GE UR8LH CT/VT Module is part of the UR CT/VT modules with Enhanced Diagnostics (module types 8L, 8M, 8N, 8R, 8S, and 8V). These modules are capable of detecting failures in analog channel measurements caused by internal CT/VT module faults.
When an internal failure is detected, the module generates an alarm indicating CT/VT module failure and automatically blocks tripping from any protection function associated with the affected module. Enhanced Diagnostics functionality is available when the UR relay is operating with firmware version 5.20 or later.
