Each channel can be configured as AI, AO, DI or DO in software. ProSafe-RS support starts at R4.01.
The suffix identifies explosion protection with ISA Standard G3 and a wide temperature range of -40 to 70 °C. For intrinsic-safety instrumentation, Yokogawa specifies an isolation barrier; a Zener barrier is not permitted.
ProSafe-RS N-IO field I/O for configurable analog and digital signals, including HART-enabled field devices.
Typical triggers include an unavailable I/O channel, field open/short diagnostics, or replacement of a module in an existing N-IO installation. Loss of the affected I/O path can interrupt associated field signals.
