A4: This probe is calibrated for AISI 4140 steel targets. When the shaft is chrome plated or uses non-ferromagnetic alloys, signal behavior changes. You may see sensitivity drift, unstable axial position sensing, or slight vibration reading deviation. In practice, users either apply custom calibration, or adjust scaling in the 3500 rack configuration software to bring readings back in line.
A5: Yes, especially in tight layouts. If two 330103-02-07-10-02-00 probes are too close, they can interfere with each other’s field, creating cross-talk or even beat frequency type noise in vibration signals. A common field rule is around 40 mm spacing between probe centers. If space is limited, one channel is sometimes replaced with a 3300 NSv series probe to reduce interference and stabilize measurement.
