The Bently Nevada 330101-00-60-10-02-00 sits in the 3300 XL 8mm Probe range, basically an eddy current proximity probe used for non-contact measurement. In real plants it’s doing shaft vibration measurement, axial displacement sensor work, and also radial position tracking on rotating shafts. You’ll see it quite often on steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, pumps—anywhere API 670 machinery protection is required and people care about stable machinery diagnostics probe signals. Some call it 330101 Proximity Sensor, some just say 3300 XL 8mm Probe, same thing in field language.
This one looks long, but actually quite “standard Bently Nevada style”.

Once you’ve handled a few Bently Nevada 330101 spare parts, this kind of code is easy to read.
For a full Bently Nevada 3300 XL system, this probe is always used together with 330130 extension cable and 330180 Proximitor Sensor.
Typical setup looks like this:
5-meter system: 330130-040-XX-XX extension cable + 330180-50-XX proximitor
9-meter system: 330130-080-XX-XX extension cable + 330180-90-XX proximitor
If matching is correct, you get about 2.0 mm linear range (80 mils) and sensitivity around 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil). This is what keeps eddy current proximity probe signals stable in vibration monitoring system spares applications.
Installation is not complicated, but small details matter.
First step is gap voltage calibration—adjust until Proximitor shows around -10.0 VDC.
Then check clearance. Around the 8mm probe tip, keep roughly 15.2 mm free space, otherwise metal nearby can disturb the signal, especially in rotating machinery.
Connector side also gets attention. ClickLoc connector should stay dry and clean. In many sites people just add a simple protector or wrap tape around it, nothing fancy but it works.
