3300 XL 8 mm proximity systems used for vibration and position monitoring on machinery, including fluid-film bearing machines.
A proximity channel loses its expected signal, becomes unstable, or requires replacement of the Proximitor Sensor in an existing monitoring loop.
Loss of the channel can interrupt the associated vibration or position measurement used for machinery monitoring and protection.
Check the probe, extension cable, ClickLoc connector and field wiring before replacing the Proximitor Sensor. Confirm the specified negative DC supply is present.
For radial-vibration measurements, the documented recommended gap setting is approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils), corresponding to approximately -9 Vdc.
