SmartLink DP gateway for connecting an AS-i field level with a PROFIBUS-DP control system. The AC1335 integrates one AS-i master and provides local operating and diagnostic functions.
The AC1335 is used in industrial automation systems where AS-i sensors and actuators need to exchange data with a PROFIBUS-DP-based control level. It provides the gateway function between the AS-i network and the PROFIBUS-DP master system.
Customers typically search for this gateway when an installed AC1335 fails, PROFIBUS-DP communication is interrupted, or AS-i communication and configuration diagnostics indicate a gateway-related problem. Since the unit links the field level with the control system, loss of the gateway can stop or disturb the affected field-data exchange and increase machine or line downtime.

The front LC display and four function keys provide local operation and status information. Diagnostic functions include AS-i cycle monitoring, communication error counting per slave, configuration error counting and peripheral fault detection. The PROFIBUS-DP slave address is set through the gateway display and stored non-volatilely.
The unit is designed for 35 mm DIN-rail mounting in a protected control-cabinet environment. Its IP20 housing requires a suitable protected installation and unobstructed ventilation. The documented operating temperature range is 0...+60 °C.
