Installation & Compatibility
Rack Arrangement
3500/15 power supplies use two dedicated half-height positions on the left side of the rack.
Each position accepts one power supply.
With two supplies installed, the lower position is primary and the upper position is backup.
The PIM is positioned directly behind the corresponding power supply.
Replacement Check
Verify the installed supply part number before ordering.
Check the associated PIM as part of the replacement investigation.
Do not select a replacement from voltage range alone.
The manufacturer information distinguishes legacy and current DC supply/PIM arrangements.
Replacement should be matched to the installed 3500 rack configuration and power-input arrangement.

Supply indication and protection behavior
The front-panel Supply OK LED provides the supply-status indication. For troubleshooting, the manufacturer also specifies that under-voltage does not harm the supply or PIM, while an over-voltage condition causes the PIM fuse to open.
