QSX15: A 15-liter large-displacement, mechanically/electronically controlled high-pressure common rail engine (early fully electronically controlled), primarily used in off-highway construction machinery (such as 70-ton excavators, rotary drilling rigs, mining dump trucks, milling machines, air compressors, and large bulldozers). It meets Tier 2/Tier 3 off-road emission standards and is discontinued, replaced by the ISX15/X15.
ISX15: A 15-liter fully electronically controlled high-pressure common rail engine, designed for highway heavy-duty truck tractors, heavy-duty dump trucks, and some construction machinery. It meets the US EPA 2007–2010 emission standards (EGR+DPF) and was the main engine for high-end heavy-duty trucks in North America and China around 2010. It was also used in some port machinery and generator sets.
X15: An upgraded version of the ISX15 (after 2017), featuring iAOS intelligent valve control and optimized after-treatment system. Designed specifically for heavy-duty highway trucks (tractors, dump trucks, concrete mixers, etc.), it meets EPA 2010–2024 and EPA 2024 / Euro VI emission standards. It is not intended for traditional construction machinery (such as excavators and rotary drilling rigs), emphasizing fuel economy and total cost of ownership (TCO).
