Will this door casing crack when nailing?
No. Our cellular PVC formulation is engineered for fastener acceptance. Use 15 or 16-gauge finish nails without pre-drilling. The material grips fasteners securely and will not split, crack, or splinter like wood.
How does it handle temperature changes?
The thermal expansion coefficient is approximately 5.0 * 10⁻⁵ /°C. We recommend leaving a 1/8" expansion gap at joints for runs over 16ft. For standard door installations (7-8ft), gaps are typically not required.
Is the white finish the final color or do I need to paint?
The primed white surface is UV-stabilized and looks great as-is. However, it is also fully paintable—simply apply your preferred latex or acrylic paint after a light surface cleaning.
Can I get custom lengths for commercial projects?
Yes! We offer custom length production up to 20ft for commercial and multi-unit projects. Please specify your requirements when inquiring.
