Can I route decorative profiles into this board?
Yes! This material routes beautifully using standard carbide router bits at 18,000-22,000 RPM. Feed at a steady pace to avoid melting. The fire-rated and anti-termite properties extend through the entire cross-section—routed profiles retain full protection.
How do I join two boards end-to-end for long runs?
We recommend using PVC-compatible adhesive (PVC cement or construction adhesive) with a scarf joint (30-45°) for the most invisible connection. For butt joints, leave a 1/8" expansion gap and fill with color-matched caulk.
Is this board structural or decorative only?
This is a decorative/non-structural trim board. For structural applications requiring load-bearing capacity, we recommend consulting a structural engineer and using appropriate structural-grade materials.
What's the difference between this and standard PVC trim board?
Three critical differences: (1) B1 fire rating for commercial code compliance, (2) integrated permanent termiticide, and (3) enhanced density for better fastener holding and machinability. Standard PVC boards typically offer none of these features.
