Treated wood (e.g., ACQ, CCA) typically provides 5-10 years of termite protection before the treatment leaches out. Our PVC brick mould has termiticide integrated permanently within the polymer matrix—it cannot leach, wash off, or degrade, providing lifetime protection.
What fasteners should I use for installation?
Use stainless steel or hot-dipped galvanized finish nails (15 or 16 gauge). For coastal environments, stainless steel is mandatory. We recommend 2-1/2" nails spaced every 16" into framing.
