A: Install the drip cap over the door/window flange with the angled leg facing outward. The top flange should be tucked behind the house wrap or building paper (shingle-fashion) so water is directed outward and down. Use stainless steel fasteners into framing.

A: Absolutely. The primed surface accepts 100% acrylic latex paint. We recommend using a paint with LRV ≥ 55 to minimize heat buildup. For dark colors, use vinyl-safe paint formulations.

A: The standard 15° drip angle is sufficient for all normal rainfall conditions. For areas with extreme rainfall (>100 inches/year), we offer a 22° high-capacity drip cap profile upon request.
