Performance values depend on installation conditions, motor temperature, altitude, drive settings and applicable explosion-protection requirements. Derating and application-specific restrictions must be checked in the corresponding project-planning and ATEX documentation.
The S1 encoder is an optical single-turn Hiperface feedback device with 128 signal periods. It supplies precise rotor-position information for closed-loop position, speed and torque control. Because it is a single-turn encoder, the controller and machine project must manage any application requiring position tracking over multiple mechanical revolutions.
The keyed output shaft supports positive torque transmission through a compatible hub or coupling. During installation, verify the key dimensions, coupling balance, permissible radial and axial loading, shaft alignment and required balancing method.
The rotatable connector can be oriented by approximately 240 degrees to support practical cable routing. Connector orientation should be adjusted only within the permitted range, without applying excessive force or repeated twisting to the internal connection.
