The CIMR-AU4A0044FAA is suitable for medium-capacity conveyors, mixers, extruders, winders, process machinery, machine tools, pumps and industrial fans. Heavy Duty operation should be considered for constant-torque equipment, repeated acceleration, impact loading or high starting torque. Normal Duty is more appropriate for variable-torque loads where the 44 A continuous output is required.
For closed-loop vector control, confirm the feedback option, encoder signal, cable shielding, supply voltage and mechanical installation. Encoder cables should be routed separately from motor power conductors to reduce electrical interference. The final feedback configuration must match the controller parameters and machine requirements.
The built-in braking transistor can be used with a correctly engineered external braking resistor. Resistance, power, duty cycle and protective components must be selected from the regenerative energy and stopping frequency. The presence of a braking transistor does not make an arbitrary resistor suitable.
Record the existing parameter set, complete nameplate, specification number, software revision and option cards before removing an installed unit. Confirm motor tuning data, encoder settings, communication mapping, digital-input logic, analog references and safety-disable wiring. Review rating-dependent parameters after transferring a parameter file.
Check cabinet ventilation, conductor size, grounding and branch-circuit protection. If the original drive failed unexpectedly, test the motor insulation and output cable before connecting the replacement.
For GA800 migration, select the equivalent drive from voltage, ND or HD output current and control requirements. DriveWizard parameter conversion is an engineering aid, but feedback hardware, terminals, network options, braking components and safety functions require separate verification.
