Produced via the traditional viscose process: dissolving‑grade wood pulp is alkalized, aged, xanthated with carbon disulfide to form viscose, then extruded through a slit die into a sulfuric acid coagulating bath. The regenerated cellulose film is washed, desulfurized, bleached, and plasticized with glycerol. After drying and humidity conditioning, it is slit into rolls for candy wrapping. The process yields a transparent, non‑toxic film with excellent twist memory.
