Process Introduction
Bleached sulfate chemical wood pulp is cooked and refined to a high viscosity state. Heavy sizing with rosin or AKD (0.3-0.5%) creates a strong grease/water barrier while maintaining breathability. The formed web is pressed and dried on multi-cylinder dryers, then supercalendered under high temperature (80-100°C) and pressure (150-250 kN/m) to achieve the characteristic high-gloss surface on both sides. No wax coating is applied – gloss is purely mechanical.
