It is the preferred weight for offset printing plate making, where dimensional stability is paramount, and for luxury box interleaving that requires both a premium feel and protection. Process Introduction
The production of 110g paper requires even tighter control of fiber refining and drying. Beating degree may exceed 92°SR to achieve full fibrillation. The web is formed on a slower Fourdrinier with enhanced drainage. Pressing is followed by two‑stage drying: first low‑temperature to control shrinkage, then higher temperature for final dryness. Semi‑dry calendering at 120 kN/m and surface sizing with PVA/starch blend. Final calendering achieves smoothness ≥300s.
