Available in any custom color (black, blue, red, yellow, green, orange, purple, and Pantone-matched shades), colored glassine paper maintains all functional properties: high density (≥1.00 g/cm³), smoothness ≥600s, oil absorption ≤1.1 g/m², and release performance after silicone coating. Colored release liners aid in visual identification, reduce labeling errors, and enhance brand recognition. Black glassine is particularly popular for dark adhesives or high-contrast die-cutting.

Process Introduction
Food-grade, non-migrating dyes or pigments are added during pulping or at the size press. The base pulp is 100% bleached sulfate wood pulp. Coloration is uniform throughout the paper thickness (not just surface-coated). The colored pulp then undergoes the standard glassine process: high-fibrillation beating, AKD sizing, PVA surface sizing, and supercalendering. The final paper has consistent color from edge to edge with no rub-off or bleed. Colors can be matched to RAL, Pantone, or customer swatches.
Uses & Distinguishing Features
Branded Release Liners – Red for special promotions, blue for medical products, yellow for caution labels.
Black Glassine for Dark Adhesives – Masks appearance of black adhesive on transparent labels.
Color-Coded Die-Cutting – Different colors for different thicknesses or product lines; reduces assembly errors.
Decorative Packaging – Colored translucent wraps for luxury gifts and event favors.
Why Choose This Paper
Custom colored glassine transforms functional release liners into branding tools, while preserving all technical properties – density, smoothness, and release performance.
