Conventional polyimide tapes usually generate voltages exceeding 10,000 volts during use, which may damage the electronic components installed on the board. 3M Tape 5419 overcomes this problem without any typical drawbacks of conventional "anti-static" or "non-static" tapes (such as variable adhesion and opacity).
