Specifically designed for the intake phase of turbocharged and naturally aspirated Perkins T4.236, AT4.236, 4.248, and A4.248 diesel engines.

The head receives solution treatment at 1,150°C followed by age-hardening to achieve 28-32 HRC core hardness, while the stem undergoes gas nitriding to create a 0.02-0.04 mm deep surface layer exceeding 750 HV hardness. This combination resists scuffing during prolonged low-speed, high-boost operation and prevents micro-welding on the valve seat.
