A convincing animatronic animal is not defined by appearance alone. To create a stronger sense of realism, visitors need to perceive its shape, expression, movement and sound as part of one complete experience.
Five Layers of Realism
Layer 1: Realistic Visual Appearance
The model is sculpted according to the natural body proportions and physical characteristics of real animals, with detailed treatment of fur, scales, skin and other surface features.
Layer 2: Natural Expression
Slow eye blinking gives the face subtle changes instead of leaving it permanently fixed. The head can also rotate gently in different directions, creating the impression that the animal is observing its environment.
Layer 3: Simulated Breathing
The chest rises and falls rhythmically, reproducing the subtle motion of natural breathing and giving the animal a continuous sense of life.
Layer 4: Physical Movement
The mouth opens and closes while the tail performs programmed movements, adding dynamic activity to different areas of the body.
Layer 5: Animal Sound
The mouth movement can be synchronized with corresponding animal sounds, creating a stronger connection between visual and audio effects.
When all these elements work together, a stationary model can deliver a much richer representation of life.
