Mango Puree Refining Decanter Centrifuge Delivering Continuous Fiber Separation

The HD-DEC-450 is a horizontal decanter centrifuge built for mango puree refining lines where stone fiber, residual peel particles and coarse pulp tissue have to be removed without destroying the smooth, glossy texture that buyers expect from a premium tropical puree. Mango mash entering the machine is accelerated gently through a wide throat feed zone, then clarified inside a long cylindrical-conical bowl under a centrifugal field of up to 3200 G. The screw conveyor, running at a controlled differential speed, lifts the fibrous solids out of the liquid pool and pushes them along the conical section to the discharge ports, while refined puree leaves the bowl through the adjustable impeller under pressure and continues to the next stage of the line.

Because mango fiber is abrasive and heat sensitive, every design detail of this machine is aimed at protecting both the product and the wear parts. The conveyor flight is protected by tungsten carbide tiles, the feed ports are lined with replaceable wear bushes, and the entire rotating assembly is dynamically balanced to ISO 1940 grade G2.5 so that vibration stays low even after years of production. • Adjustable Differential Speed: A variable frequency drive on the back drive motor allows the operator to change the differential speed between 0.5 and 30 rpm on the fly, so fiber cake dryness can be tuned inside a narrow window without stopping the line.
• High G-Force Clarification: A 450 mm bowl turning at 4000 rpm develops 3200 G, enough to clarify fine suspended pulp particles that ordinary screw presses and paddle finishers leave behind, producing a clean puree with very low sediment.
• Hardfaced Conveyor Protection: Tungsten carbide tiles welded on the scroll flight and sintered ceramic inserts at the solids outlet absorb the abrasion of mango stone fiber, extending the service life of the rotating assembly by a factor of two to three compared with unprotected flights.
• Full CIP and Sanitary Execution: All product contact parts are AISI 304 or 316L stainless steel with a mirror polished surface, and the bowl housing is fitted with spray balls and drain ports so the machine can be cleaned in place between product changes.
• Skid Mounted PLC Control: The machine is delivered on a common baseplate together with its control cabinet, ABB frequency converters and a touch screen interface that stores recipes for different mango varieties and recovers automatic protection against overload, vibration and high temperature.

This decanter is installed in the refining stage of tropical fruit processing plants that produce mango puree, mango concentrate feed, nectar bases and infant fruit preparations. Typical line arrangements place the machine directly after the pulper and before the deaerator, homogenizer and pasteurizer, so that fiber is removed while the puree is still at ambient temperature.
