GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ANJEKA-6402 is an acidic group-modified polyurethane copolymer solution designed as a dispersant for solvent-based medium/low polarity resin systems in coatings and inks, facilitating the dispersion of both inorganic and organic pigments.
PRODUCT DATA
Chemical composition: Acid-modified polyurethane copolymer solution
Note: Values provided are representative and not product specifications.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Stir thoroughly before use. Separation or cloudiness may occur below 0°C; restore by warming to 30–40°C with agitation.
Recommended shelf life: ≤12 months.
ATTENTION
Because of its high acid value, the additive may potentially accelerate the reaction of baking systems. Check the increase in viscosity during storage is necessary.
APPLICATION
Uses: Coatings and printing inks.
Properties & Advantages:
Stabilizes pigments via steric hindrance, preventing flocculation.
Reduces particle size, minimizing color float and flooding in multi-pigment systems.
Enhances gloss, color strength, transparency, and opacity.
Lowers viscosity, improving flow and enabling higher pigment loading.
Reduces haze in electrostatic high-speed bell applications (especially with inorganic pigments).
Recommended Sectors:
Ideal for stabilizing inorganic pigments (e.g., titanium dioxide) in solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings and inks. Its anionic nature suits acid-catalyzed systems (e.g., coil coatings).
Anjeka 6402 employs steric stabilization to disperse pigments, leading to the formation of small particle sizes. This process not only enhances gloss levels and improves color strength but also boosts the transparency of transparent pigments and the hiding power of opaque ones. The reduction in millbase viscosity further enhances flow characteristics, facilitating a higher pigment loading capacity. This improved flow characteristic allows for the achievement of superior coatings. Particularly in the case of inorganic pigmented coatings processed through electrostatic high rotation technique, the use of Anjeka 6402 can significantly minimize haze
Dosage (on pigment weight):
Anjeka 6402 is recommended for all solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings and printing inks to stabilize inorganic pigments, especially for titanium dioxide. Its anionic character makes it ideal for acid-catalyzed systems (e.g. coil coatings).
RECOMMENDED ADDITION LEVEL
The amount of additive (supplied form) is based on the pigment.
Titanium dioxide: 2 - 4%
Inorganic pigment: 5-10%
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
Incorporation:
Add to the grinding vehicle before introducing pigments for best results.
