Solid Carbide Dovetail End Mill (often referred to as a necked chamfer tool or long-reach spotting drill). Unlike the previous double-angle cutters, this tool features a single-sided cone-shaped cutting head. Engineered with an extended neck clearance, it is specifically designed to reach deep into narrow holes, stepped counterbores, or complex mold cavities to perform high-precision chamfering, deburring, and profiling.
Single-Angle Taper Cutting Design: Purpose-built for front-face chamfering of surface edges, hole countersinking, and internal step profiling. Precision-ground cutting edges ensure exceptional angular accuracy and a high-quality surface finish.
Advanced Thermal Barrier Coating: Finished with a premium bronze/copper-colored coating (such as TiAlN or nano-composite), which provides outstanding thermal stability and wear resistance, allowing for higher cutting speeds and prolonged tool life.
Deep-Reach Neck Clearance: The extended, reduced-diameter neck section allows the cutter to plunge deep into confined workpiece features or machine right next to vertical walls without the risk of shank rub or tool interference.
High-Rigidity Solid Carbide Substrate: Manufactured from high-density solid carbide (tungsten steel) to maximize core strength. This high rigidity effectively suppresses tool deflection and chatter, which are common challenges for long-reach tooling.
Machining Operations: Front-side hole chamfering, countersinking in deep or stepped holes, edge deburring, V-grooving, and localized angular pocket profiling.
