The moment your battery pack layout demands a non-standard width — 37.2 mm instead of 35 mm, 0.18 mm instead of 0.15 mm — you are faced with three bad options: trim every strip by hand, redesign the pack around an available size, or over-spec thickness and accept the weight penalty. DLX eliminates that compromise. Our in-house precision slitting line cuts pure nickel strip to your exact width (5–240 mm) and thickness (0.05–1 mm) from N4, N6, Ni200, or Ni201 coil stock. You also specify the temper: soft annealed (M) for deep-draw forming, quarter-hard (1/4H) for balanced weldability, or half-hard (1/2H) when tensile strength takes priority. Every order ships with an EN 10204 3.1 MTC — no generic certificate, no batch-average chemistry, no guessing.

Our 12,000 m² Changzhou facility houses in-house precision slitting lines capable of holding ±0.1 mm width tolerance on strip from 5 mm to 240 mm wide — and in-house hydrogen annealing furnaces that let us ship the exact temper your process requires, not the single temper the distributor happens to have in stock. Since 2002, we have supplied custom-dimension nickel strip to battery pack manufacturers, electronic component producers, and industrial fabricators across 40+ countries. When you send us a width, thickness, temper, and grade, you receive strip slit to that specification from a single verified heat — with the paperwork to prove it. No substitutions, no "close enough," no surprises.
Provide your target dimensions in your inquiry: thickness (0.05–1 mm) and width (5–240 mm), plus your preferred tolerance. Standard tolerance is ±0.01 mm on thickness and ±0.1 mm on width. If your application requires tighter tolerances, specify them — we will confirm feasibility and any lead time impact within 24 hours. For prototype runs, we can often ship from coil remnants of a close dimension in 3–5 working days while your custom slitting setup is being prepared.
The choice depends on your welding setup and pack design. Soft annealed (M) is the most forgiving for welding — it requires the lowest energy (6–8 Ws) and produces the most consistent nuggets. Choose M if your strip must also survive forming or bending before welding. Quarter-hard (1/4H) is the most common specification for automated battery pack assembly — it feeds reliably through pick-and-place systems and welds at standard 8–12 Ws settings. Half-hard (1/2H) is for structural tabs where tensile strength matters more than weld energy flexibility — common in power tool and EV modules subject to mechanical shock.
MOQ is 5 kg for all orders, including custom widths. For a typical 0.15 mm * 20 mm strip, 5 kg yields approximately 190 meters of material — enough for a small production run or thorough prototyping. We also offer free samples of N6 and Ni200 (0.5 kg) in standard widths for first-time evaluation before committing to a custom slitting setup.
Yes. If the width you need is within our slitting range (5–240 mm), we can set up a short slitting run from available coil stock for quantities as low as 5 kg. For widths that fall between our standard tooling setups, a small setup fee may apply, waived for production orders exceeding 100 kg. We also maintain an inventory of common-width remnants that can often be shipped same-day for urgent prototype needs.
Temper is controlled by the final annealing and cold-reduction parameters, not by subjective visual inspection. For soft annealed (M) strip, we hydrogen-anneal at 850–950°C followed by controlled cooling — hardness verified at 90–120 HB. For quarter-hard and half-hard, we apply a controlled cold-reduction pass after annealing to achieve the target hardness range, verified by Rockwell testing on sample coupons from each coil. Every production coil carries its measured hardness value on the mill test certificate — you can compare your current order to your previous order and see the consistency in the numbers.
