Standard 19.5mm pitch nickel strip connects adjacent cells. That works for simple parallel groups. It does not work when your pack design staggers cells in alternating rows, or when a series connection must bridge across a parallel group to reach the next cell in sequence. For those layouts, you need a strip that spans two cell positions — 34.5mm center-to-center — not one. DLX stamps this 2P wide-pitch strip to exactly that geometry on a dedicated progressive die, with the same 99.6% Ni200 chemistry, hydrogen-annealed surface, and burr-free edge as our standard-pitch products. If your BOM calls for a 34.5mm interconnect and your current supplier can only offer 19mm or 20.2mm, this is the part that eliminates the hand-soldered jumper wire you have been using as a workaround.

34.5mm is approximately double the standard 18.5–19.5mm single-cell pitch. It is used when a nickel connector must span across one cell position to reach the next — typically in staggered-row 2P pack layouts, series connections between physically separated parallel groups, or designs where a thermal barrier or structural rib sits between the two cells being connected. Instead of hand-soldering a jumper wire across the gap, the pre-formed 34.5mm strip provides a rigid, repeatable bridge with consistent weld quality at both ends.
34.5mm corresponds to two standard 18650 cell diameters (2 * 18.25mm nominal, adjusted for the slight gap between cells in a holder). This pitch lands the weld tabs directly on the center of cell 1 and cell 3 in a linear array, perfectly clearing cell 2. If your layout requires a different double-span distance — say 37mm for 21700 cells — we can cut a custom die. Provide your center-to-center measurement and we confirm feasibility within 24 hours.
The 34.5mm die is maintained in our tool library, but production runs are scheduled based on demand — this is not a continuous-run item like 19.5mm pitch. If strip from a recent run is in inventory, we can ship within 3–7 working days. If a new stamping run is required, lead time is 7–10 working days. The bridge itself adds a short length of nickel conductor — approximately 15mm longer than a standard single-pitch connector. At 0.096 μΩ·m resistivity and a typical 0.15mm * 5mm bridge cross-section, this adds roughly 1.9 milliohms of series resistance — negligible in the context of a battery pack where individual cell internal resistance is 20–50 milliohms. The weld quality at the tabs is identical to standard-pitch strip because the tab geometry, material, and surface are unchanged.
Yes. The same die stamps N4, N6, Ni200, and Ni201 strip — only the input coil changes. If your series bridges are exposed to marine humidity or salt-laden air (common in outdoor packs where the bridge runs along the pack exterior), N4 at 99.9% Ni with Fe ≤ 0.04% provides the highest corrosion margin. Specify the grade at inquiry; lead time is unchanged.
