Inconel X750 spring wire from Changzhou DLX Alloy Co., Ltd. is an age-hardenable nickel-chromium-iron alloy engineered for springs, fasteners, and high-strength components operating at elevated temperatures where relaxation resistance is critical. Gamma-prime strengthened for superior creep resistance, our Inconel X750 wire is manufactured through multi-pass precision cold drawing with controlled-atmosphere heat treatment — delivering the dimensional consistency and surface quality demanded by aerospace, nuclear, and gas turbine spring manufacturers. Full EN 10204 3.1 MTC traceability on every spool.
| Property | Value | Benefit for Spring Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Strengthening Mechanism | Gamma-prime (γ') precipitation hardening | Superior creep and relaxation resistance at temperatures above 700°C compared to gamma-double-prime strengthened alloys — critical for long-duration elevated-temperature service |
| Service Temperature | Cryogenic to 870°C | Maintains spring force through sustained high-temperature exposure where conventional spring steels and stainless grades lose temper and clamping load |
| Relaxation Resistance | Outstanding — best in class among nickel spring alloys | Minimum preload loss in bolted assemblies, valve springs, and seal components operating continuously above 600°C — longer service intervals, fewer re-torques |
| Fatigue Strength | Excellent in age-hardened condition | Proven in high-cycle aerospace and nuclear applications with millions of load cycles at elevated temperatures |
| Corrosion Resistance | Good oxidation resistance; resists chloride SCC | Suitable for nuclear primary water chemistry, gas turbine combustion environments, and industrial atmospheres without protective coatings |

X750 or 718? X750 wins when relaxation resistance above 700°C is the priority. 718 wins when room-temperature strength and fatigue are the priorities. Not sure? Share your service temperature and load profile — we recommend within 24 hours.
| Industry | Application | Why Inconel X750 |
|---|---|---|
| Aerospace | Gas turbine blade retaining springs, compressor stator springs, exhaust system fasteners, thrust reverser springs | Maintains clamping force through thermal cycling and sustained engine operating temperatures |
| Nuclear | Reactor internals springs, control rod drive springs, fuel assembly hold-down springs, steam generator fasteners | Proven irradiation and primary water chemistry compatibility; outstanding relaxation resistance over multi-year fuel cycles |
| Industrial Gas Turbines | Combustion section springs & seals, hot gas path fasteners, shroud retaining rings | Sustained strength and oxidation resistance in continuous combustion environment above 800°C |
| Rocket Propulsion | Thrust chamber springs, turbo-pump seals, cryogenic valve springs | Single alloy solution from LH₂ cryogenic temperatures to hot gas exposure — no need for multiple material specs |
| Oil & Gas | Downhole safety valve springs, high-temp wellhead fasteners, sour service bolting | Maintains spring function in deep wells with sustained 500°C+ bottom-hole temperatures and H₂S exposure |
Changzhou DLX Alloy Co., Ltd. was founded in 2002 with a single focus: nickel-based specialty alloys. We are not a general wire mill — every drawing die, annealing furnace, and quality checkpoint is designed around nickel alloy wire manufacturing.

Solution-annealed wire is optimized for coiling and complex forming. No. 1 temper provides a balance of formability and strength for moderate forming. Spring temper is for finish grinding or minimal secondary forming. We recommend the optimal condition based on your manufacturing process and final spring specification.

Solution-annealed for maximum formability (complex coiling, tight radii — then age harden after forming). No. 1 temper (equalized & aged at ~885°C) for moderate forming with higher starting strength. Spring temper for finish grinding or very light forming only. Our technical team reviews your coiling geometry and recommends the optimal condition.
AMS 5698 covers solution-annealed wire intended for subsequent age hardening after forming. AMS 5699 covers No. 1 temper (equalized and aged) wire. We supply to either specification based on your manufacturing process.
Yes. Trial quantities are available for first-time buyers to validate coiling performance, age hardening response, and relaxation properties before committing to volume production.
X750 delivers superior relaxation resistance and service temperature capability above 700°C — ideal for sustained high-temperature springs and nuclear applications. 718 offers higher room-temperature strength and excellent fatigue resistance. If your service is above 700°C with sustained loading, X750 is the better choice. Below 700°C with high cyclic loading, consider 718. We can supply both for comparative evaluation.
Our standard bright finish from controlled-atmosphere annealing is clean, oxide-free, and ready for direct coiling — no pre-cleaning required. For specific lubricant compatibility, coated finishes are available on request.
