Brief of Venturi Junk Basket
The Venturi junk basket is a kind of fishing tools applied for the coiled tubing fishing operation. The venturi junk basket is used to salvage debris in the well. When pumping the fluid, the fluid forms in the venturi cavity of the tool once the fluid flows out of the fishing basket nozzle, a vacuum is
created. The fluid carrying debris is sucked from the bottom of the tool. The fluid carrying the debris passes through the internal filter of the tool. The venturi cavity circulates again, and the debris remains in the chip holder inside the tool and is carried to the ground with the tool.
Features of Venturi Junk Basket
* The venturi junk basket is essentially a high-powered vacuum cleaner
* The venturi junk basket is used with fluid, multiphase fluids, foams, or gases.
* The nozzles in the venturi junk basket are simply changed out as per the pump rate, fluid or gas.
* A debris filter screen is placed before the Venturi chamber to prevent debris from blocking the Venturi tubes.
