Ceramic Hose is a heavy-duty flexible conveying component engineered for industrial systems where abrasive materials, high solids concentration, repeated mechanical movement, and demanding maintenance conditions occur simultaneously. This product combines an abrasion-resistant ceramic lining with a high-strength reinforced rubber structure to provide a flexible alternative to rigid wear-resistant piping in selected sections of slurry and particulate conveying systems.
The primary engineering purpose is to maintain a durable internal conveying passage while allowing controlled bending, vibration absorption, and equipment movement. The construction consists of an engineered ceramic inner lining, resilient rubber layers, reinforcement layers, and an external protective rubber cover.
A gold-processing operation in South Africa required flexible connection solutions for slurry pumping circuits operating between mineral-processing equipment and fixed pipeline networks. The process transported abrasive mineral slurry at sustained flow rates, with flexible connections located immediately downstream of pumps where internal abrasion combined with vibration and pressure fluctuation.
Ceramic Hose assemblies were installed with ceramic-lined internal passages, reinforced rubber bodies, and end connections matched to existing pipelines. The solution provided mechanical isolation between pumps and rigid pipelines while withstanding abrasive conditions, demonstrating practical value in mineral-processing environments.

The ceramic lining manages severe internal abrasion from hard solid particles through sliding contact, direct impact, and localized erosion. This hard internal interface reduces material removal rates while maintaining structural support and controlled flexibility.
Reinforcement layers control hose expansion and provide tensile stability while retaining installation flexibility. The structure distributes internal pressure forces throughout the hose assembly, maintaining dimensional stability under normal operation.
The reinforced rubber body provides controlled flexibility and distributes bending stress across the hose structure. Rubber material offers vibration-damping characteristics, reducing mechanical movement transmission to adjacent pipework.
