Ceramic Hose is a specialized industrial conveying solution designed for high-temperature slurry transport applications in copper beneficiation, mineral concentration, and metallurgical processing industries. The product combines a wear-resistant ceramic-lined internal structure with a reinforced elastomeric composite body, creating a flexible transport component capable of operating under simultaneous thermal, abrasive, and mechanical loading conditions.
In copper concentrator facilities, slurry transportation systems are frequently exposed to elevated process temperatures generated during grinding, flotation, thickening, and concentrate handling operations. These slurry streams often contain fine copper ore particles, silica compounds, tailings residues, and process chemicals that contribute to accelerated wear and material degradation.
The project was carried out at a large copper concentration facility located in the Antofagasta mining region of northern Chile. The operation processes substantial volumes of copper ore and relies on a network of slurry transport systems connecting grinding circuits, flotation cells, concentrate thickening units, and tailings management facilities.
Following implementation of Ceramic Hose technology, the system demonstrated substantial improvements in operational durability. Inspection records showed significantly lower wear rates compared to previously installed hose assemblies. Thermal exposure had minimal impact on structural performance, and pressure stability remained consistent throughout the operating cycle.
