As apparel supply chain restructuring continues across Southeast Asia, local garment manufacturers are expanding their capacity to take on premium export orders for suits, overcoats and formal attire. Buyers from European and American brands impose rigorous requirements on interlining bonding, seam shaping and finished piece consistency. While cutting and sewing workflows have achieved widespread automation, many workshops still face obvious bottlenecks within post sewing finishing processes, especially for interlining tape pressing. Manual dependent pressing work creates quality instability and labour pressure challenges, limiting factories’ ability to deliver high quality finished goods.
Numerous garment factories still rely heavily on manual ironing for 20-60mm interlining tape bonding. Skilled pressing operators are hard to recruit and retain. Manual workmanship easily generates typical defects: interlining skewing, edge lifting, seam rebound, glue penetration and fabric scorching. These quality issues cause batch rework, product rejection and failed brand audits. In addition, conventional production setups require steam boilers, separate ironing tables and multiple auxiliary devices. Such equipment occupies valuable workshop space and brings high power consumption and routine maintenance costs for small and medium sized garment enterprises.
Developed by DRESSED SANTO, the XST 258 8K intelligent steam free interlining pressing machine is purpose built for 2-6cm wide interlining tapes. Adopting proven steam free intelligent temperature control technology, this machine removes the need for steam boilers and traditional ironing tables, simplifying workshop equipment layout.
Fitted with dual servo synchronous upper and lower feeding, the equipment offers stable fabric conveyance and supports non-stop continuous pressing.
Auto temperature control system adjusts heating parameters between 150-350°C according to fabric characteristics, effectively protecting delicate materials from scorching, discoloration and fibre damage.
Automatic feeding and cutting reduce frequent manual intervention. New operators can grasp core operations within only three minutes of basic training, greatly lowering dependence on veteran pressing workers.
The machine runs on merely 300W total power. It heats up within 8 seconds and achieves zero standby power consumption, bringing tangible energy saving benefits for production lines.
Working pressure stays stable at 0.6 MPa to guarantee uniform pressing force for every interlining segment.
Pressing speed is adjustable up to 100 mm/s, matching high volume production demands.
