Top Hammer Rock Drilling Tools
Top hammer impact rock drills are positioned at the top of the threaded drill string system. The impact piston strikes the shank adapter directly, and the impact energy generated by the piston travels through the threaded extension rods (MF or MM type) in the form of stress waves. These stress waves are then transmitted to the rock via the threaded button bit or the rod's cutting edge, converting the impact energy into energy for rock fragmentation. These tools are primarily used in mining and tunneling projects.
We utilize high quality steel suitable for the hot insertion process; this method ensures the bit body tightly grips the carbide buttons, thereby minimizing the risk of button loss.
