Material Heat Treatment Performance
Manufactured from high strength alloy steel and premium cemented carbide, this integral rod combines solid toughness with strong fatigue resistance. It tolerates stress notches well and slows fatigue crack development to extend service life.
Precision thermal balancing optimizes mechanical performance. After normalizing or controlled rolling, the rod body hits ~ HRC40 to maintain proper flexibility. Quenched and tempered shanks reach HRC 50 - 54, resisting mushrooming and fracture under repeated piston impacts. Minimal decarburization occurs during heating, preserving steady surface properties and consistent drilling output.
