Oil Drilling Mud Shearing Pump APJQB For Oil Drilling Fluids Process
Mud Shear Pump is specially used to shear polymer and clay in drilling fluid. The polymer (or clay) in the drilling fluid system should be sufficiently cut in advance and then into the drilling fluid system, improve the performance of drilling fluid to give full play to its effectiveness. If not fully shearing, the polymer will block the shake screen in the first cycle. It will lose a massive amount of polymer, increase drilling cost, and may also make the large size of solid particles in drilling fluid difficult to be removed. Shear pump can make the polymer reduced by more than 15%, and the bentonite reduced by more than 30%. And it can also reduce mud cake and fluid loss, reduce drilling fluid shear rate, improve the gel strength, so as to achieve the advanced level of similar products abroad.
Shearing pumps can be set alone on a mud tank or together with mixing hopper to be the jet shearing pump. We have introduced this in mixing hopper pump. The special design on the shearing pump is the impeller. There are sharp teeth knives at the impeller edge/side. This design will help the user to get the complete sheared materials for drilling mud. When we combine the shear pump and the mixing hopper, that means the common centrifugal pump head replaced by a shearing pump head holding the special impeller. The integration of working efficiency will be dramatically enhanced.

How do we design the shearing pump? For the shearing pump, all of the pumps are designed as driven by a belt connected with the motor. Not the horizontal installation as other pumps. Such a design will help to occupy less space area. On the pump base, there is a flexible adjustment on the distance between the pump head and motor. Since the belt may loose or deform after operated for a long while. Then we move the pump side or motor side the belt can be tensioned tight again.
