Description of Core Drilling
Core Drilling is the least invasive type of drilling and is used in difficult or remote areas. In addition, Core Drilling is used for the geo-technical evaluation of the nature, material properties and type of rock for the purposes of designing a certain size shaft, tunnel or stoping panel to be used for the calculation of the type and amount of rock support required.
In the construction or urban infrastructure industries, Core Drilling is mainly used for geo-technical information in the design of foundations for bridges, buildings, tunnels, etc.
