Tricone Bit Description
Roller bits, with their core advantages of strong geological adaptability and stable rock breaking efficiency, are widely used in various fields such as oil and gas drilling, geological exploration, and mineral extraction, especially in scenarios that require dealing with complex formations and different well types. Its specific scope of application can be divided into two dimensions: "application field" and "adapted formation/well type"

I. Core Application Fields

1. Oil and Gas Drilling (The Most Important Field)

• Exploration Wells: Used to verify whether oil and gas resources exist underground. Facing unknown formations, the strong adaptability of roller cone bits can reduce the risks of sticking and tooth breakage.
• Development Wells: Used to extract proven oil and gas reservoirs. Balancing efficiency and cost is required, and the long service life and low cost per footage of roller cone bits can significantly improve mining economy.
• Directional Wells/Horizontal Wells: These wells have complex wellbore trajectories (needing direction changes or horizontal extension).
