The reverse circulating fishing magnet is a specialized downhole fishing tool widely used in oil & gas drilling and workover operations for recovering small metal junk from the wellbore.
When operating, high-volume and high-pressure drilling fluid forms local reverse circulation near the bottom hole. The reverse flushing flow agitates the well bottom, lifting and suspending fallen metal debris such as broken bits, bearings, slips, bolts, and other small junk. Suspended metal fragments are then firmly captured by the built-in strong magnet on the tool. Continuous reverse circulation prevents debris from falling off during tripping out, enabling efficient one-run fishing of metallic junk.
This tool delivers obvious advantages compared with conventional fishing magnets: better junk carrying capacity, less risk of junk redeposition, and stable performance for milling operations and well cleanup.
